first steps

the boy took his first steps...such wonder...we really enjoyed it...but he prefers to be carried around...unable to record it though because the battery of the handycam ran out...will do it tomorrow.

aily is still working on her book review. she's already worried about emil and post holiday blues...went to klcc yesterday.angah is busy preparing for her engagement this coming saturday. amin told that ayah & kak might be coming down to fetch abang fikri & also to see emil. nothing concrete, though.asked amin to give wahidah rm30 for her effort.puasa penuh at 6 years old is really something. as far as i could remember, i started puasa penuh at the age of 9. i was fat then (still am). itupun lepas dah bersunat...heheheheh...

fly might be coming over tomorrow. went to eza's place on the second day of raya. emil's collection so far : rm 350...will add up to make rm 400. aily said she will top up to make it rm 500.

until later...

uhhhhh????

i don't have regular net access, hence the lapse in putting up new posting...

so, bush won after all. after all the promises and a commendable start by john kerry, he lost. from my point of view, US will always be US no matter who's the president. so, my argument to feel relieved about bush jr retaining the presidency : better the devil u know....hmmmm...Arafat is fighting for his life.latest i heard, his condition is improving.

raya is just around the corner. we already tempah baju melayu for emil. beraya sakan la dia tahun nie. his grandfather had bought RM300 worth of clothes for the prized cucu. we bought a songkok last week and a pair of POLO Ralph Lauren shoes for him yesterday. so much for my pledge not to spoil my kid.

sampai kat INTAN dalam 1030 am, tukar baju then buat muka confident...aily terus pi IMATEC...

la nie hujan...nak bukak posa kat mana petang nie?

first day of the week

Have i told you that my wife and i are currently undergoing a compulsory course under the term of our services, government service that is. The course is called Diploma Pengurusan Awam and run by INTAN. It's a live-in course, so we practically should be at INTAN everyday. The course would be for 6 months. This is our fourth week there.

We left Seremban immediately after sahur. Arrived at INTAN at about 645 am, sembahyang then took a nap until 730 am. The day was rather uneventful (that has been the norm) with classes started at 830 am and ended at 130. Then off to surau for kelas tajwid. Iftar at The Mint Hotel courtesy of Puan Hasnah Majid, then off to Mid-Valley for another round of window shopping...ohhh...how i craved for the Acer PDA...but told myself to clear the balance on my credit card first before swiping for another big purchase...hahahahahah...supposedly, we should head back to INTAN as i will have to attend a discussion on the group project paper but it was cancelled due to the overstuffed group members during bukak puasa PTD. So we decided to spend the night at our Cheras home.

So that's about it. Emil woke up to see us off this morning. He's so wonderful. Did i tell you that i slept beside him last night. The simple joy of life.

It's the 17th day of Ramadhan... sedar tak sedar, dah raya...

This year will be different as it will be the first time Emil is around and can really enjoy Hari Raya...he was around alright last year but this year he's at that age where everything that he does will stir everybody around him. Emil arrived a few days before the start of last year's Ramadan. By Raya, he was barely a month old and did not understand anything (not that he understands much now, heheheheh). Nevertheless, it will definitely be a different raya this year.

For the second consecutive year, we will celebrating Raya here in Seremban. Aily has just rejected the proposal to go back to Kedah on the second day of raya. Tak kira, raya tahun depan, mesti raya kat sungai petani...apa nak jadi, jadilah....

I showed Aily this blog after sahur. Tak de la excited sangat pun...Emil is sleeping soundly...tu tak tau la pukul berapa nak bangun tu...

emil's favourite activitiy...why are we not surprised??? hehehehehehe Posted by Hello

huarrgggghhh

It's been almost 3 hrs since i started facing this computer. stilll trying to get the hang of things. can't wait to show aily this blog...

no...mama...no... Posted by Hello

doesn't take much to entertain him Posted by Hello

why???

WHY??? It's a very big why there? Why blog? Why suddenly did i decide to blog?

Considering my super lack of interest in anything remotely related to ICT (perhaps save for the e-mails and maybank2u.com), this is quite a big jump for me. 'The Big Leap', you would say. Can't wait to see Abon's facial expression once i break the news to him, hehehehehe...

There are few reasons that has prompted me to start blogging (is this the rigt term?). Some are practical and some are personal. First, the practical reasons.

I have just recently bought a laptop. It costs quite fortune and I am trying very hard to maximise the return to the investment , as some would say about the purchase of computers. Secondly, I have just registered for Streamyx. That simply means I can leave the Internet connection 24-7 at a very reasonable price. But actually, it has been a month since i filled up the form and submitted to Elly, my sister in law. Latest from her, it is due to unavailabilty of ports, whatever that is. And again, I am looking at ways to maximise my return.

On personal note, I have always wanted to write but always at loss on what to write. More often than not, my attempts to write diaries lasted untul the seventh day of January. Ini kes hangat2 tahi ayam la nie. IMHO, blogging seems to be the most compatible media. Furthermore, everyone seems to blog these days. So, why not, eh?

Another thing that always pull me back is the non-existent urge to write. Until exacly 1 year and 11 days ago, I could not find any reason for me write and put down my thoughts or feelings. Then, by the grace of Allah, Muhammad Emil Hafiz came into our lives. By 'our lives', I mean the blissful life of my wife, Aily Nurliny and yours sincerely. Emil, as we fondly call him, really shines. Now that he's already one year old, he's proving to be a handful to all of us. One would be surprised on how much energy that this boy has. More about him later.

Ever since his birth, I have always wanted to record feelings, thoughts & my plain observations of him growing up. But, again, diaries will not do much good. So. as you can see, the ramblings on ( or is it in?) this blog will very much centre around that little bundle of joy.

Secondly, I figured that it is high time for me to try something new. It's never to late, I suppose. With all these K-Economy thingy and life long learning being the mantras these days, it wouldn't hurt to acquire one or two new tricks. What more tha I am now now a full-fledged civil servant. Surely I got to be the first to respond to the call, right?

Enough for now. Pray hard that this will not be another of my hangat2 taik ayam attempt...
